BREED NOTES FOR CIRNECO DELL'ETNA

The weather stayed good for us all to get to Manchester and we were showing in the annex which was OK. Just a little bit noisy when the heaters came on. Fortunately it did not put any dogs off showing.

Our judge was Mrs E. Bothwell and she had an entry of 15. There were a few absentees including Jen Bayliss with her Cirnechi. I hope you get rid of that flue bug and get well soon Jen.

Best Bitch was awarded to Anharbn White Wedding (Bridie) and Best Dog, Best Puppy & Best Import Register was awarded to her brother A. White Tiger (Tigger). This was their very first show and I hope they continue to behave as well as they did on Thursday.

For these two it seems ages before the next show which will be in March in Ireland. Hope they don't forget what to do..

I have also entered A. Yellow Bird (Robin) but I need to do extensive car work with him first. He has never liked the car and only minutes into the journey there comes this horrid smell from the back of the car. Paper towels and clean bedding is always on hand. I will start with short trips to Spar or the post box and take plenty of plastic bags..yuk.

Crufts will soon be here and if anyone is willing to give a little time with their Cirnechi to do Discover Dogs booth, it would be very much appreciated. Please contact Maureen Foley on (01454 773011) who will be happy to discuss it with you.

Nicky Quinn still has some puppies available from Hadranensis Dora to Cy'Era Jasper, both well know winners in the showring including the World Show in Sweden. Please contact Nicky on (01559 371361).

The registrations at the KC increased considerably in 2008 and this year we will see more litters in the UK which will increase the genepool even further. A new male import will also be over in April.

The Euroshow in Dublin is already attracting a lot of interest and hopeful there will be a good entry.
