The Contest of Champions will be held on Saturday April 3rd at Thistle Hotel, Heathrow and this is the first time ever that a Cirneco has been invited to participate.

Anharbn White Wedding will be the first and hopefully not the last to compete against Champions who have won their way to this prestigious event. This will also be the first time a Cirneco dell'Etna will have the chance of competing against UK Champions with Group and Best In Show awards. There will be 64 dogs competing under 3 experienced foreign judges whose names will not be revealed until the contest begins.

Both myself and Bridie will do our best to represent the breed.

The Cirneco dell'Etna Club AGM is set for June 6th at Baginton Village Hall, Coventry in conjunction with the Pharaoh Hound Club Championship show/AGM.

The Ph AGM will be in the morning and show afterwards with the Cirneco AGM following a short 'Teach in/seminar' on the breed in the afternoon.

Please see the Cirneco dell'Etna Club website for further details.

The agreement by the Ph Club to allow us to piggy back their day has been most welcome. This will cut down costs considerably rather than hiring a venue. Baginton is well situated in the Midlands and has good facilities, it is regularly used by many dog societies for various events so to keep this venue available to others you must clean up after your dogs. Noise ie.barking must be kept to a minimum and no dogs are allowed in the adjacent children's play/field area across the road. There will be small charge for the 'Teach in/seminar' for none members but remember that ONLY fully paid up members will be able to participate at the AGM and your membership will have to be in 3 months prior to the AGM (6th March 2010).
