BREED NOTES FOR CIRNECO DELL'ETNA

Last weekend was Amsterdam Winner 09.

The Cirnechi were judged by Mrs Willes-Spores. Best Dog AW09 Anharbn White Tiger and Best Bitch, Best of Breed AW09 Anharbn White Wedding. I had the best weekend showing when my new Pharaoh bitch collected the day before from Amsterdam Airport, Am Ch. Xo Sequin FC JC SC, won Best bitch AW09 and my male in partnership with Sarah Hughes Faience in Gold was Best Dog, Best of Breed AW09..wow.

It was really nice to meet new people in the Cirneco breed this time from Switzerland with Swiss Lombards Amiga.

It was from the airport that I also collected my new male Cirneco from Idaho USA. Zoro is 17 months old and was bred by Nancy Wight at Rockinheart.

A really big thankyou to Lori Evans and Joey Buchanan for taking care of the dogs during their flight.

Zoro and Sequin have settled in immediately with no problems what so ever.

The weekend was even more special when Joey went BIS with the KCC spaniel that he bought along from USA.

Diane Clark reported that Discover Dogs was well attended in London and there were many visitors to the breed booth.

There were a lot of people interested in the breed, some never having seen them before and some seeking them out for another look at them.

Maureen Foley has organized the breed stand for about seven years and a vote of thanks to go to her for her unstinting work. I am sure that all the members and Cirneco owners agree.

If anyone has any photographs of the booth, they would be much appreciated for the club website. Unfortunatley Diane was unable to take any due the day being so busy.

Diane is now looking for people to cover the booth at Crufts 2010. Please contact her on 01352 750293 sooner rather than later. It is prefered that some people cover a morning and others cover an afternoon. This way the dogs and owners get to take a rest.

Diane also mentions that should anyone wish to caravan over a number of days for Crufts, The Caravan Club site at Chapel Lane are now taking bookings. This is about 13 miles from the NEC south of Birmingham.

Next show news will be LKA. I am hoping to get in the AVNSC, then the Import Classes and then take a quick drive to Belgium for the Brussels Dog show the next day.
