BREED NOTES FOR CIRNECO DELL'ETNA

I start these notes with some very sad news. Mr Ian Campbell husband of Sarah of Anpusharian Hounds in Scotland lost his fight with cancer on Thursday. He had been ill for sometime.
I am sure you will join me in sending Sarah and her family our sincere condolences.

At WELKS we were judged outside by Mr R Searle with 7 dogs.

Best Dog was Eindackle Elrohir (Ben) and reserve was Anharbn White Tiger (Tigger).

Best Bitch and Best Import was the Beauceron and reserve was Eindackle Elenwe Del Breuddwydni.

Best puppy was Anharbn White Wedding (Bridie).

At Birmingham National the import register classes were judged indoors by Mrs I. McManus with an entry of 15 dogs.
Best Dog was the Basset Blue de Gascogne.

It was very nice to welcome Mr & Mrs Farleigh with their new Cirneco, Hadranensis Remo who took reserve Dog.
Best Bitch, Best Puppy and Best Import Register was Anharbn White Wedding (Bridie).
It was most unfortunate that as we were about to do our lap of honour in the group ring, one of the National Committee stepped onto Bridie's foot which didn't help although no permanent damage was done.
Reserve Bitch was the Basset Blue de Gascogne.
There was a total of 8 Cirnechi exhibited plus one absentee.

Most people who show in the Import Classes have another breed and it is something that I think societies should consider whilst taking our money for the entries. A request for a 10 minute wait, I'm sure would not affect the days judging programme to any degree.
As the Import Register Classes were called so to were the Pharaoh classes of which I exhibit in both.
Subsequently I missed the Pharaoh Open Dog class but fortunately the co-owner of the dog was able to handle him on this occasion to his CC win but the co-owner is not always at the shows.

Anharbn White Rose for Mwenga (Hazel) have been busy showing.
At Humberside Hound 18th April under judge John Steel, Best Import Puppy and Best Import
At Newark & Notts Agricultural 2nd May, Frank Kane 2nd Import Junior (6 entries)
Selby Canine Soc. 3rd May, R. Platt, Best Import Puppy and Best Import
Birmingham National 7th May Irene McManus 2nd Puppy
Border Counties Hound Jean Blandford Best Import Puppy and Best Import, phewwww!!
