BREED NOTES FOR CIRNECO DELL'ETNA

Some good news for the Cirneco in Italy: Domenico Tricomi (co-owner with Jane Moore of Hadranensis) has been elected to serve on the Italian Kennel Club Committee. Domenico, breed specialist judge both for Shows and Hunting trials, is also a member of the Italian Breed Committee so he hopes to contribute to furthering the interests of the Italian breeds in his new position, with of course special attention for the Cirneco dell’Etna!

It.ch and International ch (pending FCI ratification) Hadranensis Athena has been visiting Italy with her owner, club member Phil Delaney. During her stay, H. Athena took part in the main Championship Show of the year dedicated to all Italian breeds held at Volta Mantovana in June. Hadranensis Icarus took Best of Breed owned by another Brit, Sari Thamas, and Athena (out of the first litter whelped in the UK) was part of the Hadranensis team which won Best in Show breeders group in the big ring in the afternoon with Hadranensis Patti winning the Best in Show veterans group. Many congratulations.

Here is UK we recently took part in Leeds Championship show where our judge for the import register classes was Mrs J Ward. On this occasion we were a mixed IR with the Hounds and Gundogs together.

It was nice to see another group of Cirnechi all together at the show. There was Anharbn White Rose for Mwenga owned by Toni & Micheal Agnew and Danny Cullen co-owner was handling. Michelle Farleigh with Hadranensis Remo, Eccellento Amberrea with Jackie & Greg Brown and Anharbn White Wedding & Anharbn White Tiger.

Best Import Bitch was the Lagotto and Best Dog and Best Import Register was Anharbn White Tiger.
