BREED NOTES FOR CIRNECO DELL'ETNA

At Cheshire County show there was a good import entry and Excellento Amberera 'Amber' owned by Jacky & Greg Brown won Best Import Register. She also won her class at Blackpool Championship show. At East of England Amber won her class again and was Res. Best Import Bitch. Let's hope she has many more good wins ahead.

At Windsor Anharbn White Wedding was Best Bitch and Anharbn White Tiger was BD and Best Import. Reserve BD was Hadranensis Remo.

At East of England Best Dog was again A. White Tiger with reserve going to H. Remo. This time Best Bitch and Best Import Register went to Anharbn White Wedding.

Both Windsor and East of England were two of the hottest days this year but due to it's location there was very little shade for the dogs at Windsor so we made do with standing between trade stands where the best shade was. At E.of E there were a few more trees so we had to keep moving around to follow the shadows all day. Still we must not complain about the weather..it could be snowing next week! Both shows had a great atmosphere and it was nice to have a break between the Pharaoh classes and the Import classes. At some of the shows last year we were clashing and whilst I showed the Pharaoh, David was delegated Cirneco handler. Unfortunately Jacky and Greg missed their Manchester Terrier class at East of England due to the clash. No good Greg, you'll have to learn to handle Amber.

At Leeds we are looking at a possible clash of breed and Import classes with an entry of 16 Import Register mixed between Hounds and Gundogs. Hope the rings are not too far apart.

A web site which has been dedicated to providing a data base for as many Cirnechi as possible has been launched on the web:- http://www.persondator.com/dogdatabase.html

The Cirneco dell'Etna club has now been advertised in the KG for the second month and should soon be affiliated to the KC. Any members wanting to contact the secretary on any matter can do so at: secretary@cirnecodelletnaclub.co.uk .
